How Schools Can Celebrate World Sickle Cell Day
World Sickle Cell Day For School Pupils and Staff…
With this years theme, schools can celebrate world sickle cell day and join in the fun this June.
The theme for this year’s world sickle cell day is Be Bold. Be Loud. #ChangeTheRecords…
Be Bold –
Wear something red and encourage others to do the same.
Be Loud –
Share your involvement and let others know what you are doing and the reasons you are participating in world sickle cell day.
Continue the conversations about sickle cell even after WSCD.
How Schools can participate in our World Sickle Cell Day Celebrations
The 2022 world sickle cell day theme is an opportunity for everyone to contribute on a global level. As My Friend Jen is dedicated to encouraging education and awareness, we have some fun ideas that will enable schools to participate in the fun.
There are a few simple ways that schools can acknowledge WSCD and join in the celebrations:
- Encourage staff members and children to wear something red to school on or after Friday 17th June (WSCD is celebrated on 19th June which is a Sunday).
If your school would be interested in participating in our WSCD celebrations, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
