How Schools can participate in our World Sickle Cell Day Celebrations
The 2022 world sickle cell day theme is an opportunity for everyone to contribute on a global level. As My Friend Jen is dedicated to encouraging education and awareness, we have some fun ideas that will enable schools to participate in the fun.
There are a few simple ways that schools can acknowledge WSCD and join in the celebrations:
- Encourage staff members and children to wear something red to school on or after Friday 17th June (WSCD is celebrated on 19th June which is a Sunday).
- Get our World Sickle Cell Day School Pack which includes My Friend Jen books and puzzles for the children to learn more about sickle cell, as well as red awareness wrist bands and notepads for staff members.
- Share how your school will be participating with us via twitter @myfriendjenintl
If your school would be interested in participating in our WSCD celebrations, please email info@myfriendjen.co.uk.
