Let It Show

I know the main cause of a crisis for a lot of us living with sickle cell is exposure to the cold, thus keeping warm is a key factor for making it through winter. However, I am a realist so as much as I could show you looks that would keep you warm and covered from head to toe, that would not be a true reflection of me or my style.

If you’ve read my Cold War post, then you will know my secret of protecting my weak points means I can occasionally show some skin without the fear or worry of having to be admitted to hospital soon after.

Here’s the thing though; I could share plenty style tips on how I stay well with sickle cell, but one thing we know about this condition is that it affects everyone differently so you have to find what works for you.

Once you do, let your style show (and some skin if that’s your thing) and slay with sickle cell at the same damn time!
